Free city overhaul mod

Dawn of Skyrim (Director’s Cut) SE is a free city overhaul mod for Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition that overhauls each of the five major cities of Skyrim. This script-free overhaul adds new content to Whiterun, Windhelm, Riften, Solitude, and Markarth. The all-in-one director’s cut improves upon the original by adding quest integration, unique vendors, buildings, and new locations. 

Dawn of Skyrim is compatible with other mods like Books of Skyrim, Elianora’s Breezehome, and Whiterun Outskirts Market. You may consider JK’s Skyrim, Settlements Expanded, Andromeda - Unique Standing Stones, and Holds The City Overhaul as alternative city overhaul mods.

New building and interior locations

This mod for SE creates an immersive city environment by creating additional buildings and locations for players to visit. This city overhaul adds new homes, shops, and temples, all visitable by the player. The aim is to create a more realistic city atmosphere for players with unique points of interest and a cluttered world. 

Immersive citizens

In this reimagined version of major Skyrim cities, the author adds new immersive NPCs. These NPCs will have a more detailed schedule that pays attention to practicality. These immersive citizens can also be found in more areas when they aren’t working, instead of only in the local inn during off-hours. 

New shops, vendors, and items

This mod is great for players who want variety in item shops and vendors. The mod will add new interior shops with full integration with the questing system. It also includes quests given by the Thieves Guild. New shops will also have new vendors that sell a variety of new lore-friendly items and foods in addition to their original wares.

The Dawn of Skyrim (Director’s Cut) SE mod is great for modders who want to increase POI variety and add more NPCs. The areas are redesigned from their vanilla versions to enhance the authenticity of the major cities by adding structures, clutter, and life.
